The Apollo Explore was one of Apollo Scooter’s initial flagship models in 2020. It was based on a generic OEM design from manufacturer Titan Group under the name Unicool T10 (also branded as Zero 10). Apollo added their own customizations, like using Dynavolt battery cells. I tested the scooter extensively (over 300 kilometers) back in 2020.

Performance Test Data

Here’s the performance data I recorded during my tests:

Tested Top Speed vs. Battery Level

Battery LevelTop Speed
100%32.3 mph (52 km/h)
75%29.2 mph (47 km/h)
50%26.1 mph (42 km/h)
30%25.5 mph (41 km/h)
20%24.2 mph (39 km/h)
(Note: Performance drop-off was minimal until low battery levels.)

Tested Range vs. Average Speed

Average SpeedRange
25 mph21.2 miles
17.5 mph29.3 miles
12.5 mph31.4 miles
(Note: Real-world range always varies based on rider weight, terrain, and riding style.)

Acceleration Test

I clocked 0-15 MPH (25 km/h) in 3.76 seconds.

Conclusion

The Apollo Explore delivered strong performance and range when it was released. However, this model is long discontinued.

While the above test data may be of interest, I don’t recommend buying the Apollo Explore second-hand today. The primary concerns are battery degradation due to age (reducing range and performance) and difficulty in finding spare parts. The design is rare, dated, and hard to service as most parts aren’t in production anymore. There’s also no manufacturer support or warranty available for this model.

Today’s market offers many scooters with better technology, including integrated apps, superior suspension, more refined brakes, and improved overall design. Apollo now designs its scooters entirely in-house (like the Go, City, and Phantom series), which are vastly different from the old Explore.
